The Sven And Ole Story 

       We at LURES & STUFF consider ourselves the stewards of the "Sven & Ole" legacy. "Sven & Ole" were courageous Viking fishermen, who long before Columbus; sailed off to the unknown, and found what today we call America. While here they fished every lake, river, ocean, and pond, inventing new fishing loors as the need arose. Before they left for home, they carved their loor designs on large stones which disappeared and until recently were thought to be only legends. About twenty years ago a farmer named Kenny Roone in Mora Minnesota, unearthed the stones while plowing his field. The first stone  weighed 2000 pounds, and was carved with the journal of "Sven & Ole's" exploration. It came to be known as the "Kenny Roone Ton Stone" Although historians debate the stones authenticity to this day, you can't deny what incredible loor designers and builders these men were. Well, to make a long story short, Kenny and his wife Tina got a nasty divorce and all Kenny got was an old AMC Gremlin and the stones. We bought the stones from Kenny for a song cause they wouldn't fit in the Gremlin. Who are we? Well amazing as it may seem, we are the direct descendants of the fabled "Sven & Ole" and we are also named Sven & Ole. To avoid confusion we just try to remember that they're the dead ones.

Ole and I have faithfuly recreated our loors from the drawings in the stones. Being hand made, each loor is like a snowflake. No two are exactly alike. Each comes with a booklet that's translated from the stones, describing the loor and explaining how it works. Because of our pride in workmanship, we are able to back our loors with this unconditional Guarantee: "IF YOU FAIL TO CATCH A FISH WITH OUR LOORS, YOU ARE PROBABLY FISHING IN THE WRONG SPOT!"

Catch a fish with one of our loors and you could win a prize! You might appear on this website! Here's what you do: Send us the fish, the boat you caught it in, and all your tackle. Our panel of judges will determine if you win. If you don't hear from us, assume you lost.

(there is a rumor circulating that if you send us a picture of a fish caught (or at least hanging) on one of our loors, we might send you something back. It's true. Send us another picture and we'll track you down and take the first prize back)
